Big data, schmig data! We all hear constantly about big data this, mobile that and we know the importance of these, but are we really using the right data in our analytics and optimization practices? Join us at the San Francisco Symposium for a half day of industry leaders discussing how they’ve put into practice the principles of qualitative data collection, optimization, and connection to the quantitative data that we love.

The day has been setup so that the industry leading speakers will have 15 minutes to speak (we’ll have a buzzer!) and 10 minutes to open up for audience questions. So come ready to participate in a day of analytics sharing and learning, and leave with ideas to put into practice.

Shamez Dharamsi

Shamez currently leads the Client Development and Account Management teams at Blueocean Market Intelligence.


Having started his career as a marketer, Shamez is able to leverage over 18 years of marketing, advertising, and consulting experience to serve and advise Fortune 500 organizations in the areas of marketing strategy, digital and interactive marketing, social media strategy, and Big Data analytics. He has held various marketing leadership positions at large organizations, including The Aga Khan Development Network, eClerx, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Leo Burnett. In addition, Shamez has held leadership roles with several Marketing Strategy, Relationship Marketing and Big Data services and SaaS organizations which have had successful exits. Shamez holds a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology (Consumer Behavior) from DePaul University and a MBA from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.

Durjoy Patranabish

Durjoy has over 15 years of experience in various areas of business services and a deep understanding of outsourcing.


His experience includes IT services, KPO and Analytics services, BPO and back-office services for global brands and regional leaders. He has been involved in setting up, establishing and growing service operations across multiple cities, in offshore locations (India, Philippines), managing various business functions. His experience also includes a successful entrepreneurial stint and merger and acquisition activities. In the past, he has been instrumental in growing Capital One's outsourcing footprint in Asia, and was responsible for managing the Analytics practice in India for RedPill. Before joining blueocean, he was the European Sales leader for Analytics services at IBM. He has an engineering degree from the Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management.

Samuel Cooper

Jeff Martin

Jeff Martin has more than 24 years of experience in client consulting and business development. Read More...Obtaining the majority of his management experience in the technology sector, Jeff has been instrumental in scoping and managing big data projects and platforms in several industry sectors including social media, biotechnology, and computational chemistry and biometrics. His experience includes architecting and driving successful growth strategies in several technology startups, including taking a biotechnology company to public offering (IPO). He holds a double Master’s Degree from Northwestern University in Business and Structure Based Drug Design, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
