In recent years, "Big Data" has become a new ubiquitous term. Big Data is transforming science, engineering, medicine, healthcare, finance, business, and ultimately society itself. For businesses of all sizes, big data can be hard to collect, analyze, visualize, and process; and the information places tremendous stress on networks, storage, and servers, which is why cloud computing has become an increasingly attractive solution.
Our Big Data Conferences are unique opportunity for all executive and professionals involved in data storage, data management and data analysis to gather and discuss how companies can effectively manage, protect and leverage the growing amounts of data in the enterprise. With a focus on best practices, our events allow attendees to explore strategies and technologies surrounding real-time data processing, data protection and privacy, meeting industry regulations and compliance, and data storage. What is your role in driving a cultural shift to a data driven decision making?
Abstract: How organization can become data driven in an environment where there is so much buzz and “hype” around Big Data and what they should be careful and cautious about?
Organizations are being inundated with vast amounts of data today–whether from existing business systems or from new information sources such as social media, mobile devices, and cloud-based online marketplace. More and more organizations are looking to make the shift from traditional ways of decision making to data-driven decision making. The success mantra here is not to get lost with the exponential volumes of data. Companies must have clarity on what the key questions they are looking to answer and they should follow an incremental approach. We will also discuss what organizations should be cautious about while making this shift.
